Halloween: Beneath the Costumes and Drunken Chaos

As my "Not Keen on the 'Ween" post will attest, I am not a fan of Halloween. But it was nice to learn a little about its history via Minnesota Public Radio's "Grammar Grater" podcast.

Yes, it's been a while since last I posted, but I figure if Ron Moss (of "Bold & the Beautiful fame, wearing the crimson pirate shirt) can do it--make a comeback, that is--so can I. I'd originally meant to take a week off, but before I knew it one week became two-or-so months. The plan was to take some time away, zero in on a particular theme for the blog, and get down to business. Unfortunately, between the ADD, the OCD, and various adventures with pain management took center stage.

So what I've decided to do is resume my pursuit of shiny things and post them as the attention allows. Wish me luck, and know I'm doing the same for you, here in my beloved new home: Savannah, GA. Hope at least some of this entertains you.
