Notes from Insomnia: February 20, 2009--5:33 AM (EST)

Had my first "Holy Hell--I live in the South" moment this evening, when I discovered a cricket in the sink of my new apartment. I washed it down the drain and went back to the business of moving on, as I shamefully made microwave popcorn in the early morning (hello, breakfast!). As I did, I looked at the cherry-colored hardwood floors and returned to the honeymoon of this, my first month in Savannah. Life is decoratively chaotic, but good.
