You know you're in love when you're in a park at 4:00 a.m., looking for dog poop with only the light of a dying cell phone to guide you. (And yes, said dog poop was found.)

I once had a dog who was partially paralyzed and I lived in a 3rd floor apartment. My love for her was at least 3 times a day I carried her (70 pounds) up and down the stairs and held her up to do her business. To add to this we lived in Ann Arbor Michigan so winter was a real hoot. Cherish your puppy.
It's funny how they expand one's capacity for...just about everything. I cherish her more than I ever thought was possible and am grateful for every breath she takes.
